Brilliant, funny and madly in love just about sums up Emma and Helen. A sunny brunch meeting to discuss wedding photos and it felt like I had known them for ever, their story was a moving one and I felt very privileged to be a part of such an important celebration..
The pre- bridal party started at El Viveros, one of Sitges best sunset beach bars that has the most fantastic views. On the menu: huge gin&tonics and tasty tapas. This set the tone for the rest of the weekend as guests from all around the world chatted, got to know each other and had a good boogie at sun down.
The morning: the girls got ready together, (Insperable these two!) helping each other to get into their gorgeous dresses and seriously cool Vivienne Westwood shoes. As the guests arrived they were greeted by burlesque girls serving champers and encouraged to enter the photo booth while donning a unicorn or duck head, whatever took there fancy.
The ceremony: Mum’s and Dad’s walked the brides down the aisle – really special. An emotional ceremony, not short on laughs and a little twirl down the aisle with baby Oscar squeezed between his two mummy’s made for the perfect exit and confetti moment.
Appero and then dinner by the side of the big pool that is such a strong feature of Can Pares. Next came the cake! Over a meter high, with ornate hand made roses hiding a rainbow teared sponge, fantastic!
Into the night: Hilarious speeches, super sassy burlesque dancers and cute Irish dancing from the bridesmaids (complete surprise). All girl D.j team until late – very late!
The morning after the night before (yes, I did make it for brunch at 11am) the brides chose a Club Tropicana theme, including a sax player, retro themed candy bar, inflatable pink Flamingo’s and just to keep it classy, white swans. The grand finale – fire breathing dancers under the palm trees.
This wedding although masses of fun was also beautifully and very thoughtfully planned. I was struck by how much love everyone had for these two fun loving girls and how they in return loved there family and friends taking the the upmost care to insure that everyone had the most epic day! Clubhouse 27 team did an amazing job in making the girls dreams for the day a reality.
This was not just a day for them but for every single person there and not for a minute did you feel that this day was about anything other than the love!
Top Tip from Helen & Emma’s wedding: Choose your entertainment well from bands to burlesque. This doesn’t have to be OTT expensive, but when you get it right everyone enjoys themselves.
